En este contexto, hemos abordado el estudio de la interacci\u00f3n anterobacteria-c\u00e9lula epitelial intestinal desde dos perspectivas:     1,- desde un punto de vista de la c\u00e9lula eucariota, analizando la implicaci\u00f3n del paf (factor activador de plaquetas) en los procesos infecciosos intestinales.     2,- estudiando la respuesta de la bacteria consecuencia de la adhesi\u00f3n.     en referencia a la respuesta inducida en el hu\u00e9sped hemos considerado de gran inter\u00e9s analizar la contribuci\u00f3n del epitelio intestinal a la producci\u00f3n de paf en respuesta a la infecci\u00f3n por bacterias enteroinvasivas (como salmonella enter\u00edtidis) o enterohemorr\u00e1gicas (como escherichia coli o157; h7,ehec o157:h7). Adem\u00e1s, conocida su implicaci\u00f3n en las enfermedades inflamatorias intestinales, y teniendo en cuenta que el intestino alberga un elevado n\u00famero de bacterias de la microbiota, hemos postulado otro posible origen del paf intestinal, la formaci\u00f3n de \u00e9ste por parte de enterobacterias.     el paf es un potente agente proinflamatorio con propiedades quimiot\u00e1cticas y activadoras de las c\u00e9lulas responsables del da\u00f1o tisular local asociado a la inflamaci\u00f3n. En este trabajo se ha utilizado como modelo de epitelio intestinal las c\u00e9lulas caco-2. Hemos determinado que estas c\u00e9lulas expresan las enzimas especificas delas v\u00edas de s\u00edntesis de paf, colina fosfotransferasa (cpt) y liso-paf acetiltransferasa (lios-paf-at), y en cu\u00e1nto a las enzimas de degradaci\u00f3n, las subunidades beta y gamma de la paf acetilhidrolasa (paf-ah)(i), y la paf-ah(ii).
