El ma\u00edz transg\u00e9nico resistente a taladros que expresa un fragmento de la prote\u00edna insecticida cry1ab de la bacteria bacillus thuringiensis (bt), comercializado en espa\u00f1a desde 1998, ofrece una alternativa al uso de insecticidas qu\u00edmicos para el control de esta plaga. El mayor problema que puede presentar la tecnolog\u00eda de plantas transg\u00e9nicas aplicadas al control de plagas es la aparici\u00f3n de insectos resistentes. Las proteasas digestivas de tipo tripsina pueden estar implicadas en la aparici\u00f3n de resistencia, por su papel fundamental en la activaci\u00f3n proteol\u00edtica de las toxinas cry, y porque pueden ser responsables de su degradaci\u00f3n proteol\u00edtica. El conocimiento previo de la diversidad de proteasas en s.Nonagrioides y su interacci\u00f3n con cry1ab permitir\u00eda identificar los posibles mecanismos de resistencia mediados por proteasas que se pudieran desarrollar en poblaciones de campo. se han purificado cuatro tipsinas (t, tiia, tiib y tiii) a partir de extractos digestivos de larvas de \u00faltimo estadio de s.Nonagrioides mediante cromatograf\u00eda de afinidad. Los extractos digestivos se separaron en fracciones utilizando una columna de benzamidina-sefarosa 6b. La primera fracci\u00f3n que eluyen de la columna es la de prote\u00ednas no retenidas (pnr) que contienen principalmente quimiotripsinas y elastasas. posteriormente eluyen las cuatro tripsinas en diferentes pasos del gradiente de benzamidina. Mediante el estudio de la huella pept\u00eddica y la secuencia n-terminal de las tripsinas purificadas se han podido correlacionar las tripsinas activas purificadas con las secuencias de adnc obtenidas anteriormente. Estas tripsinas pertenecen a tres grupos filogen\u00e9ticos bien diferenciados de secuencias de tripsinas conservadas en lepid\u00f3pteros, tipos i, ii y iii.
