Carlos <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Esta tesis doctoral trata acerca de la naturaleza de las galaxias luminosas compactas y azules (glca) a desplazamientos al rojo intermedios m\u00e1s parecidasa las galaxias hii del universo local.Las glca son galaxias peque\u00f1as, con un brote de formaci\u00f3n estelar muy activo. Estosobjectos dominan la densidad de formaci\u00f3n estelar en galaxias a desplazamientos al rojo intermedios.A pesar del papel fundamental que esta clase de objetos tiene en la evoluci\u00f3n de las galaxias, susprincipales propiedades son desconocidas en gran medida, ni tampoco se conoce muy bien cual es surelaci\u00f3n con las poblaciones locales de galaxias. Las galaxias hii son tambi\u00e9n sistemas azules y compactos que est\u00e1n sufriendo un importante brote de formaci\u00f3n estelar.Se ha sugerido que las glca podr\u00edan dar lugar a las galaxias esferoidales del universo cercano como ngc205 o ngc147. Tambi\u00e9n se ha propuesto que las glca dar\u00edan lugar a los bulbos de las primeras galaxias espirales.Este trabajo consta de tres partes. La primera de ellas es un estudio estad\u00edstico acerca de laspropiedades de las galaxias hii m\u00e1s parecidas a las glcas, la segunda es un estudiode alta resoluci\u00f3n espacial acerca de la naturaleza de las glca a desplazamientosal rojo intermedios y la tercera parte presenta un estudio de la metalicidad de estos objetos.La primera parte de este estudio tambi\u00e9n se ocupa de estudiar las diferencias entre aquellas galaxias que presentanla l\u00ednea de emisi\u00f3n auroral [oiii]4363 y las que no muestran esta caracter\u00edstica en su espectro.Las galaxias hii m\u00e1s parecidas a las glca tienen m\u00e1s puntos en com\u00fan conla submuestra que no presenta la antedicha l\u00ednea auroral.Tambi\u00e9n se encuentra que los objetos sin esta l\u00ednea son m\u00e1s luminososy presentan un grado de ionizaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s bajo.
