El analizador imagenet proporciona varios parametros reproducibles en el estudio del disco optico, pero los parametros que evaluan la capa retiniana de fibras nerviosas presentan una variabilidad alta. El sistema confocal heidelberg retina tomograph proporciona un estudio del disco optico reproducible.  con dichos sistemas se estudio el comportamiento del disco optico ante incrementos de la presion intraocular. En este trabajo se demuestra que la excavacion papilar aumenta ante incrementos artificiales de la presion intraocular, tanto en sujetos emetropes como en sujetos
