El objetivo principal es la s\u00edntesis y caracterizaci\u00f3n magneto-estructural de nuevos sistemas con propiedades magn\u00e9ticas novedosas basados en el ani\u00f3n cianuro. se utiliza la qu\u00edmica de coordinaci\u00f3n como herramienta principal para este trabajo. Se parte de cianocomplejos estables de n\u00famero de coordinaci\u00f3n seis y f\u00f3rmula [miii(l)(cn)x](x+l-m)- (m = ion met\u00e1lico trivalente; l = ligando bloqueante polidentado) como ligandos respecto a cationes met\u00e1licos completamente hidratados o parcialmente bloqueados con el objetivo de dise\u00f1ar materiales magn\u00e9ticos cuya topolog\u00eda, nuclearidad y propiedades magn\u00e9ticas puedan ser controladas. El trabajo incluye la s\u00edntesis, caracterizaci\u00f3n estructural y propiedades magn\u00e9ticas de m\u00e1s de una treintena de compuestos polinucleares a puente cianuro. La falta de un modelo te\u00f3rico para analizar los datos magn\u00e9ticos (debida a la compleja topolog\u00eda de los sistemas) hace necesario un an\u00e1lisis de la eficacia de las interacciones de canje a trav\u00e9s del puente cianuro mediante c\u00e1lculos te\u00f3ricos basados en la teor\u00eda del funcional de la densidad (dft) y en metodolog\u00eda cu\u00e1ntica monte carlo. Merecen especial menci\u00f3n el papel crucial que juega la s\u00edntesis de nuevos precursores magn\u00e9ticos mononucleares y el comportamiento de cadenas im\u00e1n que muestran algunos compuestos heterobimet\u00e1licos.
