De este modo, se sabe que a lo sumo un 1% del farmaco administrado es susceptible de alcanzar los tejidos oculares internos.  en esta memoria experimental se presentan tres nuevos sistemas coloidales, nanoparticulas y nanocapsulas de poli-e-caprolactona y nanoemulsiones, capaces todos ellos, de mejorar de forma sustancial la biodisponibilidad de los farmacos instilados, gracias fundamentalmente, a sus cualidades como transportadores de medicamentos al interior del globo ocular. En concreto, cuando el principio activo indometacina se administra asociado a estos sistemas, se produce un incremento notable en su biodisponibilidad ocular, en comparacion con la correspondiente a una formulacion comercial.
