Aunque se conoce mucho sobre el tipo y la regulaci\u00f3n de las actividades  enzim\u00e1ticas que expresa el hongo dependiendo de la fuente de carbono disponible, se sabe muy poco sobre los mecanismos de captaci\u00f3n de metabolitos fundamentales como los monosac\u00e1ridos. En este trabajo se describe la clonacion de seis genes (msta, mstb, mstc, mstd, mste y mstf) cuyos productos proteicos hipot\u00e9ticos podr\u00edan estar relacionados con el transporte de az\u00facares. Dos de estos seis genes se caracterizan funcionalmente, descubri\u00e9ndose que el gen mstc codifica una prote\u00edna de transporte de glucosa de alta afinidad que se expresa preferentemente en conidios en germinaci\u00f3n de a. Nidulans, mientras que el gen mste codifica una permeasa de glucosa y manosa de baja afinidad. la expresi\u00f3n del gen mstc se encuentra reprimida por la presencia de fuentes de carbono represoras en el medio mediante la acci\u00f3n del factor de transcripci\u00f3n crea y se encuentra inducida bajo condiciones de ph ambiental alcalino gracias a la acci\u00f3n del factor de transcripci\u00f3n pacc. La eliminaci\u00f3n del gen mstc provoca la p\u00e9rdida del transporte de glucosa de alta afinidad de manera an\u00e1loga a lo que ocurre en el mutante sora3 de a. Nidulans. El gen mstc es capaz de complementar la mutacion sora3, por lo que se deduce que mstc y sora son el mismo gen. La expresi\u00f3n del gen mste esta inducida por la presencia de fuentes de carbono represoras en el medio de una manera dependiente del factor de transcripci\u00f3n crea. Una fusi\u00f3n de la proteina mste a la proteina fluorescente gfp permitio la localizaci\u00f3n subcelular del transportador en la membrana plasm\u00e1tica del hongo. La eliminaci\u00f3n del gen mste produce la p\u00e9rdida del transporte de glucosa de baja afinidad en conidios en germinacion de a. Nidulans.
