Los empleados desarrollan sus propias expectativas sobre lo que creen que van a recibir de la organizaci\u00f3n, constituy\u00e9ndose as\u00ed su contrato psicol\u00f3gico. En nuestra investigaci\u00f3n hemos tratado de indagar en el origen de tales expectativas y de la posible percepci\u00f3n de ruptura del contrato psicol\u00f3gico. Esta puede producirse por un incumplimiento expreso de la organizaci\u00f3n o porque los empleados desarrollen unas perspectivas distintas a lo que la direcci\u00f3n considera haber prometido. Nosotros estudiamos esta situaci\u00f3n, la denominada incongruencia. Al respecto hemos podido comprobar que tanto la b\u00fasqueda de informaci\u00f3n, concretamente las preguntas a compa\u00f1eros con m\u00e1s experiencia o a los jefes inmediatos, como la buena relaci\u00f3n con el superior, propician unas expectativas m\u00e1s realistas, es decir, m\u00e1s pr\u00f3ximas a lo que piensa la direcci\u00f3n. en cuanto al origen delas expectativas, en nuestro caso de estudio, van en aumento si los individuos est\u00e1n m\u00e1s implicados en el trabajo, pero tienden a disminuir con el paso del tiempo y la presencia de caracter\u00edsticas como al neurosis o el locus externo de control. La percepci\u00f3n de ruptura del contrato psicol\u00f3gico tambi\u00e9n provoca un descenso de las expectativas. En cualquier caso, el estudio de \u00e9stas se revela de gran inter\u00e9s, no s\u00f3lo por conocer c\u00f3mo se forma el contrato psicol\u00f3gico, sino tambi\u00e9n porque parece que afectan directamente a la conducta y la satisfacci\u00f3n de los empleados.
