Estas transformaciones requieren invertir la polaridad del yoduro presente en el medio acuoso, o bien, la transferencia de i\u00f3n yodonio al centro insaturado, a partir de yodo.  en el cap\u00edtulo 1 se describen s\u00edntesis biomim\u00e9ticas de yodohidrinas y de  -yodocetonas a partir de alquenos y cetonas, respectivamente. Ambos procesos se llevan a cabo en medio acuoso y se han promovido mediante el empleo del sistema nai\/h2o2. Dichas transformaciones requieren el concurso de un \u00e1cido para transcurrir de forma eficaz, en un tiempo de reacci\u00f3n razonable.  en el cap\u00edtulo 2 se exponen los resultados obtenidos en la s\u00edntesis de carbo- y heterociclos promovida por iones yodonio.  en la primera parte del mismo se investiga la reactividad en agua de compuestos con estructura de  -arilalquino frente al sistema nai\/h2o2\/h+ y frente a yodo elemental. Estas transformaciones conducen a la s\u00edntesis regioselectiva de carbo- y heterociclos de seis eslabones.  la segunda parte del cap\u00edtulo recoge los resultados concernientes al estudio de la reacci\u00f3n de 1,6-eninos con yodo en distintos disolventes para generar yodocarbociclos de forma regio- y diastereoselectiva.
