P53 juega un papel central en la regulaci\u00f3n del crecimiento y muerte celulares (2). En c\u00e1ncer de mama, las alteraciones de las v\u00edas apopt\u00f3ticas incluyen la regulaci\u00f3n negativa de la v\u00eda de receptores de muerte, mutaciones en p53 y sobre-expresi\u00f3n de bcl-2 (3-5).  Estas deficiencias en p53 confieren resistencia a tratamientos quimioterape\u00faticos usados en cl\u00ednica, como es el caso de doxorubicina (doxo), una potente antraciclina ampliamente usada en protocolos cl\u00ednicos antineopl\u00e1sicos (6,7). El objetivo del presente proyecto de tesis ha sido la determinaci\u00f3n de los efectos de la inhibici\u00f3n de parp, una prote\u00edna nuclear implicada en procesos de reconocimiento y reparaci\u00f3n de da\u00f1os en el adn (8,9), sobre la citotoxicidad de doxorubicina y el mecanismo por el cual el uso de inhibidores qu\u00edmicos de parp (4-amino 1,8-naftalimida, ani) sensibiliza
