El hidr\u00f3geno es una materia prima extensamente utilizada en la industria qu\u00edmica y en las refiner\u00edas. Se utiliza en grandes cantidades en la producci\u00f3n de amoniaco, metanol y en una gran variedad de procesos de hidrotratamiento de petr\u00f3leo, previ\u00e9ndose un gran aumento de su demanda en todos los sectores. Adem\u00e1s, est\u00e1 previsto que llegue a ser uno de los vectores energ\u00e9ticos m\u00e1s importantes del futuro. por otra parte, el estudio de los materiales nanocarbonosos (mnc), nanotubos (ntc) y nanofibras de carbono (nfc), ha atra\u00eddo una considerable atenci\u00f3n en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os no s\u00f3lo por sus extraordinarias propiedades f\u00edsicas y qu\u00edmicas, sino tambi\u00e9n por la amplitud y versatilidad de sus potenciales aplicaciones. Los nanotubos de carbono, junto con los fullerenos, suponen nuevas formas al\u00f3tropas de carbono cristalino s\u00f3lido, adicionales a las tradicionalmente conocidas de grafito y de diamante. Debido a las excepcionales propiedades de estos materiales, los nanotubos de carbono son una de las \u00e1reas m\u00e1s activas de investigaci\u00f3n en nanociencia y nanotecnolog\u00eda. por tanto, si se obtiene un catalizador activo, selectivo y estable, la aplicabilidad de los resultados es inmediata, ya que su demanda deber\u00eda ser inmediata. la tesis ha desarrollado el estudio de catalizadores de ni, co y sus aleaciones soportados sobre especies de mg y al. Se ha realizado el estudio de la influencia del m\u00e9todo de preparaci\u00f3n (m\u00e9todo de coprecipitaci\u00f3n tradicional y \u00abcolloid mill\u00bb), y de la carga met\u00e1lica sobre la
