En los complejos ciclometalados sintetizados a partir de estos ligandos, la union con el atomo metalico se produce a traves de tres atomos que son; c,n,n,c,o c,n,s y c,p,p respectivamente. De esta manera se obtienen complejos ciclometalados con dos anillos quelato fusionados.  ademas, se han sintetizado complejos derivados de ligandos guanidina, cuya principal peculiaridad es la de tener anillo ciclometalado de seis miembros.  tambien se ha estudiado la reactividad de los complejos sintetizados frente a ligandos anionicos como el acetilacetonato y neutros como las fosfinas
