Para ello se coloca un sistema adaptativo en medio que genere \u00abidealmente\u00bb la misma se\u00f1al que proviene de la sala local y se env\u00eda de vuelta a la sala remota la diferencia entre la se\u00f1al estimada y la que retorna de la sala local, en lugar de esta \u00faltima. La introducci\u00f3n de m\u00faltiples canales permite capturar la espacialidad de los locutores pero introduce una alta correlaci\u00f3n entre las se\u00f1ales que afecta el comportamiento del cancelador adaptativo. Este inconveniente de mal condicionamiento del sistema, conocido como problema de la no-unicidad, puede hacer incluso que el sistema adaptativo converja a una soluci\u00f3n no \u00fanica. En la cancelaci\u00f3n de ecos multicanal estas soluciones no s\u00f3lo dependen de las respuestas al impulso de la sala local, sino tambi\u00e9n de las respuestas al impulso de la sala remota. Las respuestas al impulso de las salas t\u00edpicas en aplicaciones manos libres, que requieren de la cancelaci\u00f3n de ecos, son extremadamente grandes (del orden de miles de coeficientes). La enorme longitud de las respuestas al impulso no s\u00f3lo se traduce en un gran volumen de operaciones matem\u00e1ticas sino tambi\u00e9n en un retardo inadmisible perceptualmente. en la primera parte de esta tesis se estudia el problema de la cancelaci\u00f3n de ecos ac\u00fasticos multicanal. A continuaci\u00f3n se exploran y comparan diferentes t\u00e9cnicas de filtrado adaptativo multicanal en la b\u00fasqueda de la idoneidad para la aplicaci\u00f3n de la cancelaci\u00f3n de ecos. Para ello se establecen ocho experimentos: el primero y el cuarto, de un solo canal (caso m\u00e1s simple); el segundo, quinto y s\u00e9ptimo, de dos canales (caso est\u00e9reo: m\u00e1s simple del caso multicanal general); el tercero, sexto y octavo, de cinco canales (caso multicanal t\u00edpico en aplicaciones dom\u00e9sticas y de videoconferencia).
