Observamos que la almeja bicuda, no presenta c\u00e9lulas vesiculares, almacenando gluc\u00f3geno en el m\u00fasculo intergonadal mientras que la almeja  babosa tiene una gran capacidad de desarrollar est\u00e1 c\u00e9lula, llegando a conformar alrededor del 60% del espacio gonadal.     estos ven\u00e9ridos tienen la capacidad de invertir en reproducci\u00f3n hasta el 75% de su cuerpo, (soma o partes blandas) y su evoluci\u00f3n temporal nos indican; que en la almeja bicuda las puestas se producen en primavera-verano y en la almeja babosa a partir de fines del invierno hasta principios de oto\u00f1o, la diferencia de estos perfiles se debe a la capacidad que tiene la almeja babosa de almacenar m\u00e1s recursos bioenerg\u00e9ticos, lo que la hace m\u00e1s independiente de las condiciones medioambientales, principalmente comida.     la fecundidad potencial y la fecundidad relativa son par\u00e1metros pocos estudiados en los moluscos, por ello realizamos la estimaci\u00f3n en ejemplares maduros sexualmente, donde la almeja babosa present\u00f3 mayor cantidad de ovocitos en condiciones de ser emitidos que la almeja bicuda, y el n\u00famero de ovocitos por ejemplar (fecundidad potencial) no presento diferencias significativas, extrayendo que es posible que una especie tenga mayor fecundidad que la obra, aunque el n\u00famero de ovocitos por unidad de volumen
