Isabel <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Pseudomonas putida mt-2 es una bacteria capaz de adaptarse a una amplia gama de condiciones ambientales. Esta caracter\u00edstica es probablemente consecuencia de su desarrollado sistema de regulaci\u00f3n g\u00e9nica. Su genoma codifica numerosas prote\u00ednas de funci\u00f3n reguladora y una serie de factores sigma alternativos que permiten la expresi\u00f3n de diferentes conjuntos de genes bajo diferentes situaciones. Junto a esto, p. Putida presenta en el cromosoma varios cientos de copias de un elemento extrag\u00e9nico (rep) que la caracteriza y que podr\u00eda tener un papel en la expresi\u00f3n general de los genes cromos\u00f3micos. Adem\u00e1s de la regulaci\u00f3n espec\u00edfica de los genes que pertenecen a una misma ruta, se observa una regulaci\u00f3n global que coordina todas las funciones de la c\u00e9lula en su conjunto y que depende de una serie de par\u00e1metros fisiol\u00f3gicos relacionados con el estado energ\u00e9tico de la c\u00e9lula. Dos de los reguladores involucrados en el control global de esta bacteria son las prote\u00ednas iiantr y crc (productos de los genes ptsn y crc, respectivamente). Se ha demostrado el papel de estas prote\u00ednas en la represi\u00f3n de los promotores dependientes de ?54 de la ruta tol de degradaci\u00f3n de tolueno codificada en el pl\u00e1smido pww0. Por otra parte, se ha observado que existe un complejo mecanismo regulando la expresi\u00f3n del gen que codifica al factor ?54. Finalmente, se puede decir que los factores gen\u00e9ticos que participan en la respuesta de p. Putida a cambios ambientales var\u00edan en funci\u00f3n del est\u00edmulo desencadenante del mecanismo de adaptaci\u00f3n.
