Se han estudiados dos alternativas: la operaci\u00f3n en dos reactores en serie y el proceso integrado en un solo reactor. Para el estudio de estos procesos se han adoptado como alienaciones mol\u00e9culas pruebas: tolueno (arom\u00e1tico) y metilciclohexano (cicloalcano producto de la hidrogenaci\u00f3n de tolueno). se han preparado y caracterizado un nutrido grupo de catalizadores de funci\u00f3n met\u00e1lica noble (pt \u00f3 pd sobre gamma-al\u00famina) e industriales (nimo sobre s\u00edlice-al\u00famina o gamma-al\u00famina) para la hidrogenaci\u00f3n de tolueno, de catalizadores \u00e1cidos para la ruptura del anillo naft\u00e9nico (hzsm-5 con relaci\u00f3n si\/al entre 15 y 140) y para el hidrocraqueo de tolueno. se ha comparado el comportamiento cin\u00e9tico de las diferentes funciones met\u00e1licas en la hidrogenaci\u00f3n de tolueno y se ha propuesto un modelo cin\u00e9tico en base a un extenso trabajo experimental en un amplio intervalo de condiciones experimentale, discrimin\u00e1ndose entre los modelos propuestos en la bibliograf\u00eda y proponi\u00e9ndose un modelo original. en el craqueo de metilciclohexano se ha establecido un esquema cin\u00e9tico y un modelo cin\u00e9tico v\u00e1lido en el amplio intervalo de condiciones estudiadas. Estos modelos han servido de base para establecer un modelo cin\u00e9tico delhidrocaraqueo de tolueno. el conocimiento de los aspectos individuales ha permitido estudiar el hlidrocraqueo de gasolina de pir\u00f3lisis, determin\u00e1ndose las condiciones \u00f3ptimas de operaci\u00f3n, poni\u00e9ndose de manifiesto el buen comportamiento cin\u00e9tico de los catalizadores bifuncionales
