En este sentido, esta tesis doctoral pretende contribuir a la caracterizaci\u00f3n de la radiaci\u00f3n solar ultravioleta en la pen\u00ednsula ib\u00e9rica. concretamente, a partir de largas series de datos experimentales registrados en c\u00f3rdoba, se han analizado estad\u00edsticamente las distribuciones de radiaci\u00f3n solar ultravioleta tanto diaria como horaria y se ha modelado la relaci\u00f3n de \u00e9stas con la radiaci\u00f3n solar total diaria y horaria respectivamente, as\u00ed como con otras variables radiom\u00e9tricas y atmosf\u00e9ricas. Asimismo, para el caso de la radiaci\u00f3n horaria, se han comparado los resultados obtenidos con los derivados de medidas experimentales de otra localidad de la pen\u00ednsula ib\u00e9rica, y m\u00e1s concretamente, del \u00e1rea del mediterr\u00e1neo (Valencia). por otra parte, con datos de c\u00f3rdoba nuevamente, para distintos intervalos de mas \u00f3ptica relativa de aire, se ha estudiado y modelado las distribuciones de frecuencia relativa del \u00edndice de claridad ultravioleta, comparando los resultados con los de las distribuciones del \u00edndice de claridad total. por \u00faltimo, a partir de medidas experimentales registradas en hobart (australia), se propone un modelo que permite determinar la columna total de ozono a partir de medidas com\u00fanmente registradas en las estaciones radiom\u00e9tricas, como son la radiaci\u00f3n solar total y su componente ultravioleta eritem\u00e1tica. De esta forma, se contribuye al progreso de esta l\u00ednea de investigaci\u00f3n que, ante la disminuci\u00f3n de la capa de ozono y el consecuente incremento de la radiaci\u00f3n solar ultravioleta que alcanza la superficie terrestre, trata de satisfacer las demandas por parte de la sociedad de informaci\u00f3n e investigaci\u00f3n en torno a esta problem\u00e1tica, as\u00ed como medidas
