Sin embargo, todas sus predicciones no han  podido todav\u00eda ser confirmadas por las observaciones.  una de estas predicciones es la existencia de ondas gravitatorias.  en el amanecer de un nuevo siglo est\u00e1 emergiendo una nueva rama de la astronom\u00eda, la astronom\u00eda de  ondas gravitatorias, dedicada al estudio de objetos astrof\u00edsicos  y cosmol\u00f3gicos mediante la detecci\u00f3n de las ondas gravitatorias emitidas por estos.  para que un objeto astrof\u00edsico emita ondas gravitatorias observables desde la tierra,  \u00e9ste debe ser un objeto compacto con fuertes campos gravitatorios que adem\u00e1s tengan variaciones  temporales. El estudio de las ondas gravitatorias emitidas es una herramienta excelente  para observar las partes m\u00e1s rec\u00f3nditas de dichos objetos astrof\u00edsicos. por ejemplo,  se podr\u00e1 observar el colapso de n\u00facleo estelares en la formaci\u00f3n de supernovas  o el vecindario de agujeros negros rodeados de discos de acrecimiento. estas regiones  son invisibles a cualquier otra observaci\u00f3n del espectro electromagn\u00e9tico.  tambi\u00e9n se podr\u00e1n detectar las perturbaciones del espacio tiempo producidas por  el choque de dos agujeros negros, que de otra manera ser\u00edan invisibles.  adem\u00e1s ser\u00e1 posible realizar observaciones complementarias de fuentes conocidas  de radiaci\u00f3n electromagn\u00e9tica, como escenarios que involucren estrellas de neutrones o  enanas blancas. Estas observaciones nos ayudar\u00e1n a constre\u00f1ir mejor los par\u00e1metros de  estos sistemas (masa, momento angular, tama\u00f1o, ec<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
