El trabajo consta de las siguientes partes: 1. Un apartado introductorio en el que se revisa la motivaci\u00f3n del estudio, los antecedentes, los objetivos del trabajo, un resumen de las t\u00e9cnicas y metodolog\u00edas disponibles y una revisi\u00f3n de la estructura de la tesis. 2. Una revisi\u00f3n profunda, actualizada y detallada de la problem\u00e1tica de las part\u00edculas diesel y su impacto enla calidad del aire, as\u00ed como de los sistemas de determinaci\u00f3n de distribuci\u00f3n de tama\u00f1o de part\u00edcula. 3. En este tercer cap\u00edtulo se describe adecuadamente la parte experimental en cuanto a instrumentaci\u00f3n y resultados de la optimizaci\u00f3n del sistema cpc-dma (smps). 4. Un cap\u00edtulo centrado en las distribuciones de tama\u00f1os de part\u00edculas diesel. 5. Se analizan resultados de la estimaci\u00f3n de tama\u00f1os de part\u00edculas mediante un programa desarrollado para el tratamiento digital de im\u00e1genes. 6. Un cap\u00edtulo donde se justifican cada una de las propuestas metodol\u00f3gicas. 7.
