Jose <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Ante los antecedentes bibliograficos existentes sobre la hormonodependencia de los meningiomas, hemos determinado los receptores hormonales (estrogenos y progesterona) en diversos tumores del sistema nervioso central.Se han estudiado 100 casos: 44 meningiomas y 56 no meningiomas, mediante dos tecnicas: citometria de flujo (cf) y enzimoinmunoanalisis (eia), la primera detecta receptores tipo ii en el nucleo y la segunda los tipo i en el citosol.Se estudiaron los siguientes parametros: edad, sexo, indice de quetelet, estado hormonal, clinica, tama\u00f1o del tumor y edema peritumoral medidos por tc, localizacion, histolog\u00eda, niveles hormonales en sangre periferica, tratamiento preoperatorio con corticoides, cirugia y tratamientos complementarios.Diferenciando meningiomas de no meningiomas y comparando las medianas, observamos que los niveles de receptores de cf-e2, cf-pg y rpg-eia son significativamente mayores en meningiomas que en no meningiomas.
