Uno de los resultados principales de esta tesis fue hallar el defecto de dicha desigualdad en dimensi\u00f3n dos ( con la gran ventaja que dicho defecto tiene una interpretaci\u00f3n geom\u00e9trica) y  ad\u00e9mas damos otra prueba mas corta de la desigualdad. Este resultado se encuentra en el art\u00edculo    \u00bb an interesting property of the evolute \u00bb publicado en la revista \u00abthe american mathematical monthly\u00bb. Los anteriores resultado se generalizar\u00f3n a variedades riemanniana de curvatura constante  2-dimensional (plano, esfera y plano hiperb\u00f3lico) ad\u00e9mas en esta situaci\u00f3n, concretamente en curvatura cero, obtuvimos una demostraci\u00f3n m\u00e1s geom\u00e9trica de la cl\u00e1sica desigualdad de wirtinger. Finalmente con la ayuda de los campos de jacobi y la teoria de comparaci\u00f3n  se logr\u00f3 generalizar la desigualdad de heintze y karcher y su an\u00e1logo  a variedades de riemann de curvatura
