No obstante, no se conoce cual ser\u00e1 la respuesta de las plantas de crecimiento lento. en esta tesis se eval\u00faa dicha respuesta, a medio y largo plazo, en dos especies de crecimiento muy lento, chamaerops humilis y cycas revoluta. el co2 elevado estimul\u00f3 de manera importante el crecimiento, aunque, mostrando importantes diferencias entre la respuesta a medio y largo plazo.     los resultados obtenidos sugieren que la respuesta &#8212; de la fotos\u00edntesis est\u00e1 muy relacionada con la gesti\u00f3n &#8212; del carbono asimilado. as\u00ed, chamaerops humilis, una especie que acumula en las hojas importantes cantidades de carbono asimilado, present\u00f3 una aclimataci\u00f3n a la baja dela fotos\u00edntesis por efecto del co2 elevado.
