Se trata por tanto de un fen\u00f3meno coherente que se presenta cuando una secuencia de pulsos peri\u00f3dica se propaga a trav\u00e9s de un medio dispersivo lineal de primer orden. Cuando la dispersi\u00f3n acumulada es igual a una cierta escala b\u00e1sica, se obtiene una r\u00e9plica del tren de pulsos original, en lo que se conoce como efecto talbot entero. Cuando la dispersi\u00f3n acumulada es una fracci\u00f3n de dicha escala b\u00e1sica se obtiene una r\u00e9plica del tren de pulsos original pero con una mayor raz\u00f3n de repetici\u00f3n, siempre y cuando los pulsos sean suficientemente estrechos como para evitar la superposici\u00f3n. Este efecto se conoce como efecto talbot fraccionario. en este trabajo de tesis se presenta un an\u00e1lisis espectral del efecto talbot. Desde este punto de vista, los dispositivos talbot se comportan como filtros paso-banda m\u00faltiples, d\u00f3nde cada banda pasante representa la interferencia entre pulsos separados un cierto n\u00famero de per\u00edodos unidad. As\u00ed, las l\u00edneas talbot fraccionarias filtran los arm\u00f3nicos del espectro de potencia que no pertenecen a la se\u00f1al de salida, dando as\u00ed lugar a un incremento de la raz\u00f3n de repetici\u00f3n del tren de pulsos. La supresi\u00f3n o el rechazo de estos arm\u00f3nicos solo es exacto para pulsos en el l\u00edmite de transformada y dispositivos talbot semi-enteros. En el caso particular de pulsos gaussianos, se derivan las condiciones que garantizan que el filtro talbot proporciona un tren de pulsos sin fluctuaciones de intensidad incluso cuando el medio presenta dispersi\u00f3n de segundo orden. se realiza tambi\u00e9n un an\u00e1lisis de la tolerancia y la estabilidad de los filtros talbot ante peque\u00f1as variaciones de la dispersi\u00f3n acumulada del medio y del per\u00edodo del tren de pulsos.
