En la tesis se proponen una serie de soluciones que resuelven de forma eficiente los retos planteados. Los resultados tienen aplicaci\u00f3n en los sistemas gsm, umts y wlan.  la tesis aporta una soluci\u00f3n para el dise\u00f1o de antenas de m\u00faltiple haz, con posibilidad de s\u00edntesis arbitraria de los n haces de forma simult\u00e1nea, utilizando para ello el m\u00e9todo de los modos de fase.  se propone una soluci\u00f3n original para el dise\u00f1o de redes de conformaci\u00f3n de haz en agrupaciones cil\u00edndricas, basada en  redes de butler en cascada, filtros de microondas y un conjunto de desfasadores y atenuadores, que aporta una soluci\u00f3n  que puede ser implementada con facilidad, con las tecnolog\u00edas actualmente disponibles.   en la tesis se han realizado prototipos experimentales de los elementos radiantes, redes de distribuci\u00f3n y antenas de  m\u00faltiple haz, con elevadas prestaciones en ancho de banda y diversidad en polarizaci\u00f3n, validando las teor\u00edas desarrolladas y demostrando la viabilidad del
