Esta leguminosa es com\u00fanmente considerada como un hospedador restrictivo para la nodulaci\u00f3n y habitualmente es nodulado por cepas de rhizobium leguminosarum bv trifolii. No obstante, las investigaciones sobre la diversidad de los microsimbiontes de trifolium ha permanecido detenida por mucho tiempo, por lo que es necesario llevar a cabo estudios m\u00e1s amplios utilizando diferentes criterios que permitan profundizar en el conocimiento de esta simbiosis. En este estudio se han analizado 43 cepas aisladas a partir de n\u00f3dulos efectivos de trifolium repens y trifolium pratense procedentes de suelos con diferentes caracter\u00edsticas ed\u00e1ficas de la provincia de salamanca.  los aislados fueron distribuidos de acuerdo con su perfil de tp-rapd en 9 grupos distintos. Todos los grupos mostraron perfiles id\u00e9nticos de rflp del gen ribos\u00f3mico 16s. Este perfil fu\u00e9 id\u00e9ntico al de rhizobium leguminosarum bv trifolii y diferente al de los biovares viciae y phaseoli. La secuenciaci\u00f3n completa del gen ribos\u00f3mico 16s confirm\u00f3 estos resultados mosctrando una similitud cercana al 100% con respecto a r. Leguminosarum bv trifolii atcc 14480. se obtuvieron las secuencias de los genes atpd, reca de una cepa representativa de cada uno de los grupos de tp-rapd. La secuencia de estos genes mostraron que la mayor\u00eda de los aislados de este estudio pertenec\u00edan a nuevas especies filogen\u00e9ticamente cercanas a r. Leguminosarum bv trifolii atcc 14480. Estos datos ratifican los obtenidos a partir de las secuencia de la regi\u00f3n interg\u00e9nica entre 16s-23s (its).
