Para ello se utiliz\u00f3 el m\u00e9todo comparaci\u00f3n &#8211; contraste &#8211; e interrelaci\u00f3n  entre los distintos factores y la idea central.  De esta manera, la investigaci\u00f3n fue contextualizando hist\u00f3ricamente los datos, sustentados con los distintos enfoques te\u00f3ricos disponibles.  los contextos hist\u00f3ricos seleccionados fueron:  a) el poblamiento de am\u00e9rica;  b) el chile castellano;  y c) el chile republicano.  por otra parte, se utilizaron los criterios de an\u00e1lisis de la teor\u00eda del conflicto (cap. V)  para investigar el tema de la naturaleza de esta integraci\u00f3n,  su evoluci\u00f3n y consecuencias,  as\u00ed como la eventual emergencia de las llamadas naciones ocultas (cap. Vi),  tanto en la realidad particular chilena como en la vasta red del indigenismo internacional (cap. Vii).  Todo lo cual nos llev\u00f3 a plantear lo que estimamos constituye la demanda real de los campesinos chilenos de origen araucano. (Cap.
