Destacar\u00e1 entre todos ellos el cantero trujillano, francisco becerra, que adem\u00e1s de ser el autor de numerosas construcciones en extremadura, traza algunos de los edificios m\u00e1s importantes de la am\u00e9rica hispana, como las catedrales de puebla de los \u00e1ngeles, lima y cuzco, y su influencia ser\u00e1 decisiva en desarrollo posterior de la arquitectura hispanoamericana.     becerra llevar\u00e1 consigo, adem\u00e1s de su gran formaci\u00f3n artesanal, aspectos del goticismo arraigado en trujillo, tanto en plantas como en cubiertas. Utilizar\u00e1 una decoraci\u00f3n plateresca a ra\u00edz toledana en patios y portadas, y una pureza de formas donde prevalecer\u00e1 lo arquitect\u00f3nico sobre lo ornamental, apuntandose as\u00ed los nuevos c\u00e1nones del \u00faltimo cuarto del siglo xvi.     todo ello, junto con la gran calidad de las obras que este artista realiz\u00f3, hace de becerra una figura destacada. Adem\u00e1s, se puede considerar como uno de los introductores del purismo clasicista, tanto en puebla de los \u00e1ngeles como en la ciudad de los reyes y, por extensi\u00f3n, en los respectivos
