Hacemos una relectura de su obra teniendo en cuenta la singularidad con la que trata de afectos y virtudes en la misma. Se lleva la fenomenolog\u00eda al debate actual sobre la \u00e9tica de las virtudes. Para ello introducimos la triple divisi\u00f3n de lo importante que hace nuestro autor, a saber: lo subjetivamente satisfactorio, el valor y el bien objetivo. Nos centramos, como novedad en el pensamiento en el valor ontol\u00f3gico. Posteriormente, prestamos especial importancia al emotivismo como teor\u00eda a combatir. Recuperamos los afectos centr\u00e1ndonos en tres teor\u00edas psicol\u00f3gicas y psiqui\u00e1tricas sobre los mismos: logoterapia, inteligencia emocional e inteligencia creativa; los afectos tienen su espacio en la reflexi\u00f3n \u00e9tica y antropol\u00f3gica, no podemos eludir el tratamiento que reciben en otros campos del pensamiento c\u00f3mo los mencionados. Y acabamos, desde ese punto, reivindicando la centralidad de las virtudes en la \u00e9tica. Conviene resaltar, tambi\u00e9n, lo que el llama previrtudes, esto es, virtudes necesarias para ser virtuoso: la reverencia, la fidelidad, la responsabilidad, la veracidad, la bondad, la gratitud, la comuni\u00f3n y la esperanza. En cada uno de los puntos m\u00e1s importantes ponemos a hildebrand en debate con macintyre. As\u00ed vemos sus coincidencias en la cr\u00edtica al emotivismo y sus discrepancias en el concepto de virtud as\u00ed como en la lista de previrtudes.
