Describir y comparar los cambios t\u00e9rmicos (centrales y cut\u00e1neos en la cara y el cuello) y fotopletismogr\u00e1ficos despu\u00e9s de la inducci\u00f3n anest\u00e9sica (ia) con lbs hipn\u00f3ticos de uso actual (propofol, etomidato y sevoflurano).   pacientes y m\u00e9todos. Se ha medido la temperatura central esof\u00e1gica, las temperaturas cut\u00e1neas (frente, l\u00f3bulo de la oreja, dorso de la nariz y cuello) y la amplitud de la onda de fotopletismografia digital (aof) en la oreja y en la nariz, a intervalos de 5 minutos durante los 20 que dur\u00f3 el estudio. Pacientes adultos, asa i-ii, de ambos sexos, asignados en 3 grupos de 20 pacientes seg\u00fan de hipn\u00f3tico empleado.   resultados. La anestesia indujo un descenso t\u00e9rmico central m\u00e1s intenso (0,4 \u00c2\u00b1 0,1\u00c2\u00ba c) para el grupo propofol (p< 0.05) que para los otros inductores. A nivel cut\u00e1neo, en la cabeza, no se hallaron diferencias significativas intragrupo en el per\u00edodo de estudio, excepto para el dorso de la nariz. Tampoco en dicha localizaci\u00f3n las hubo entre los grupos. La aof aument\u00f3 significativamente desde el inicio del per\u00edodo de estudio, siendo mayor en la nariz que en la oreja. S\u00f3lo a nivel de la nariz la vasodilataci\u00f3n fue m\u00e1s intensa y precoz para el propofol, y m\u00e1s moderado y tard\u00edo para el sevoflurano.   conclusiones.
