Los cannabionies son agentes neuroprotectores frente a neurotoxicidad in vitro y da\u00f1o cerebral agudo in vivo. Estos antecedentes nos llevaron a estudiar la localizaci\u00f3n, expresi\u00f3n, y funci\u00f3n de los receptores cannabinoides en la ea y su posible papel neuroprotector tras el tratamiento con betaa tanto in vivo como in vitro. mostramos que las placas seniles en los pacientes de ea expresan ambos receptores, cb1 y cb2, junto con marcadores de activaci\u00f3n microgial, y que las neuronas cb1, positivas presentes en alto n\u00famero en individuos control, han disminuido en \u00e1reas de activaci\u00f3n microgial. En experimentos farmacol\u00f3gicos, encontramos que el acomplamiento a prote\u00ednas g y la expresi\u00f3n de la prote\u00edna del receptor cb1 est\u00e1n aumentada, en concreto, las prote\u00ednas de los receptores cb1 y cb2 muestran una nitraci\u00f3n potenciada. La administraci\u00f3n intracerebroventircular a ratas de cannabinoide sint\u00e9tico win55212-2 previene la activaci\u00f3n microgial inducida por el betaa, las alteraciones cognitivas y la p\u00e9rdida de marcadores neuronales. los cannabinoides (hu210, win55212-2, y jwh133) bloquean la activaci\u00f3n microgial inducida por el betaa en cultivo, a juzgar por la actividad mitocondrial, morfolog\u00eda celular, liberaci\u00f3n de factor de necrosis tumoral (tnf-alfa); estos efectos son independientes de la acci\u00f3n antioxidante de los compuestos cannabionoides y tambi\u00e9n lo produce un agonista cannabinoide selectivo de los receptores cb2. Los cannabinoides tambi\u00e9n suprimen la neurotoxicidad mediada por la microgl\u00eda tras la adici\u00f3n de betaa  a cocultivos con neuronas corticales de rata. toso los tipos celulares neurales expresan cb1 pero la microgl\u00eda adem\u00e1s expresa el cb2, que ser\u00eda una diana carente de efectos psic<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
