De entre este tipo de descargas, los plasmas mantenidos por onda de superficie (pos) presentan un papel importante debido a propiedades tales como la alta estabilidad y reproducibilidad. as\u00ed, en el presente trabajo de tesis se ha pretendido contribuir, al entendimiento de este tipo de descarga creada a presi\u00f3n atmosf\u00e9rica en el marco de un estudio tanto te\u00f3rico como experimental, haciendo uso para ello del arg\u00f3n y el ne\u00f3n como gases plasm\u00f3genos. el estudio se ha centrado fundamentalmente en el estudio de dos temas principales:     1,- la influencia de la recombinaci\u00f3n disociativa sobre la cin\u00e9tica de excitaci\u00f3n\/desexcitaci\u00f3n del plasma.     2,- la caracterizaci\u00f3n de una columna de plasma generada con ne\u00f3n a presi\u00f3n atmosf\u00e9rica, por no encontrarse apenas literatura sobre estos y siendo de vital importancia para llegar a conocer el estado de equilibrio en plasmas de microondas a presi\u00f3n
