El objetivo de esta tesis ha sido la reconstrucci\u00f3n de su historia evolutiva y analizar las relaciones filogen\u00e9ticas que  existen esntre sus linajes. Se han utilizado dos enfoques uno citogen\u00e9tico y otro molecular. En el an\u00e1lsis citogen\u00e9tico se han localizado los loci adnr mediante la t\u00e9cnica de hibridaci\u00f3n in situ fluorescente (fish) y en el molecular se han analizado secuencias de adn mitocondrial (citocromo oxidasa) y nuclear  (its-ii y 28s), mediante m\u00e9todos de distancia, parsimonia y verosimiltud.  los resultados muestran que los cromosomas portadores de loci adnr var\u00edan de 2 hasta 12, y que el n\u00famero de cistrones que forman estos loci es tambi\u00e9n variable. En cuanto al an\u00e1lisis de las secuencias de adn los resultados muestran una serie de linajes y sublinajes que concuerdan en parte con la taxonom\u00eda y las relaciones filogen\u00e9ticas ya conocidas del g\u00e9nero, basadas en caracteres morfol\u00f3gicos, la genitalia femenina y los datos cromos\u00f3micos. el patr\u00f3n de variabilidad encontrado en los genes ribosomales se ha descrtio por primera vez en insectos y  no est\u00e1 asociado a la variaci\u00f3n en el n\u00famero cromos\u00f3mico.
