En una de ellas se aisl\u00f3 la cepa eps125, que mostr\u00f3 elevada eficacia de biocontrol del pat\u00f3geno f\u00fangico penicillium expansum, causante de la podredumbre azul y de grandes p\u00e9rdidas econ\u00f3micas en poscosecha de fruta. Esta cepa tambi\u00e9n mostr\u00f3 ser efectiva frente a un amplio espectro de pat\u00f3genos f\u00fangicos de poscosecha como botrytis cinerea, monilinia laxa y rhizopus stolonnifer y en una gran variedad de frutos. Debido a su alta eficacia, se plante\u00f3 desarrollar esta cepa comercialmente, no obstante, para poder lograr este objetivo se debe llevar a cabo una exhaustiva caracterizaci\u00f3n del producto a nivel de identificaci\u00f3n, producci\u00f3n en masa, formulaci\u00f3n, mecanismos de biocontrol y trazabilidad. Hasta el momento, aspectos como la producci\u00f3n en masa y formulaci\u00f3n de la cepa eps125 han sido desarrollados con \u00e9xito. Tambi\u00e9n, aproximaciones sobre el mecanismo de biocontrol de dicha cepa han sido realizadas, en donde la exclusi\u00f3n preventiva del pat\u00f3geno  por colonizaci\u00f3n del nicho y la interacci\u00f3n directa con las esporas f\u00fangicas y tubos germinativos parecen tener un papel clave en el biocontrol.     en el presente trabajo se plante\u00f3 como objetivo complementar la informaci\u00f3n necesaria para el futuro registro del biopesticida eps125, el cu\u00e1l se pude desglosar con:     1 ,- identificaci\u00f3n y caracterizaci\u00f3n de la cepa eps125 a trav\u00e9s de pruebas fenot\u00edpicas y genot\u00edpicas.     2,-  desarrollo de un m\u00e9todo de trazabilidad para la cepa eps125 a trav\u00e9s de marcadores moleculares espec\u00edficos.     3,- determinaci\u00f3n del mecanismo de biocontrol utilizado por la cepa eps125 contra p.Expansum a trav\u00e9s de aproximaciones fenot\u00edpicas y estudios genot\u00edpicos.     de acuerdo con los
