Las galaxias wr son un subtipo de las galaxias h ii cuyo espectro integrado muestra l\u00edneas de emisi\u00f3n propias de estrellas wr, indicando la presencia de una poblaci\u00f3n importante de estrellas masivas y la juventud extrema del brote de formaci\u00f3n estelar. El principal objetivo es el estudio de la formaci\u00f3n estelar y de las poblaciones de estrellas o y wr en estos objetos, as\u00ed como comprender el papel que tienen las interacciones entre objetos compa\u00f1eros de bajo brillo superficial en el disparo de los brotes de formaci\u00f3n estelar.  empleamos im\u00e1genes profundas con resoluci\u00f3n espacial en filtros \u00f3pticos y del infrarrojo cercano (nir) de banda ancha e interferenciales (h alfa y continuo adyacente) para estudiar la morfolog\u00eda estelar y del gas ionizado en cada galaxia, analizando el contenido de estrellas ionizantes, la edad de los brotes y la poblaci\u00f3n de estrellas viejas subyacente. Tambi\u00e9n se ha usado espectroscop\u00eda de rendija larga o echelle para estudiar las condiciones f\u00edsicas (densidades y temperaturas electr\u00f3nicas, enrojecimiento, naturaleza de la ionizaci\u00f3n), las abundancias qu\u00edmicas y la cinem\u00e1tica  del gas ionizado, as\u00ed como para determinar el contenido de estrellas masivas y su localizaci\u00f3n espacial en cada objeto. Este an\u00e1lisis ha permitido discernir entre la naturaleza pre-existente o de marea de los objetos enanos encontrados alrededor de las galaxias estudiadas. de especial inter\u00e9s es el estudio de los grupos de galaxias hcg 31 y mkn 1087, donde se necesitan interacciones a varios cuerpos para explicar las colas, puentes, fusiones de galaxias y enanas de marea encontradas.
