Para la validaci\u00f3n de la t\u00e9cnica lesional, una vez realizado el apno se aplicaron trazadores neuronales en los col\u00edculos superiores (fluorogold, fg) o mediante inyecci\u00f3n intrav\u00edtrea (toxina col\u00e9rica subunidad b) que permitieran valorar la integridad de la v\u00eda retinofuga en sentido anter\u00f3grado y retr\u00f3grado. Dentro del estudio cuantitativo, en ratas adultas anestesiadas las c\u00e9lulas ganglionares de la retina se marcaron retr\u00f3gradamente con el trazador neuronal fluorogold aplicado sobre la superficie de los col\u00edculos superiores. Siete d\u00edas m\u00e1s tarde, se expuso el nervio \u00f3ptico izquierdo en su trayecto intraorbitario y se lesion\u00f3 aproximadamente a unos 3 mm del disco \u00f3ptico.  El aplastamiento intraorbitario se realiz\u00f3 con unas pinzas anguladas de relojero.  La supervivencia de las cgr se determin\u00f3 a los 5, 7, 9 \u00f3 12 d\u00edas de la lesi\u00f3n contando las cgr marcadas con fg en 32 regiones est\u00e1ndar de las retinas lesionadas (izquierdas) y sus controles (derechas). En otros grupos adicionales, inmediatamente tras el aplastamiento intraorbitario se realiz\u00f3 una inyecci\u00f3n intrav\u00edtrea de 5 \u00c2\u00b5l que conten\u00edan 5 \u00c2\u00b5g de bdnf, 5 \u00c2\u00b5g de nt-4, o 5 \u00c2\u00b5g de cntf, y los animales se procesaron a los 7 \u00f3 12 d\u00edas de la lesi<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
