La evaluaci\u00f3n de la seguridad de estos almacenamientos requiere establecer que los residuos no constituir\u00e1n un riesgo para el hombre y el medio ambiente en los pr\u00f3ximos 100.000 a\u00f1os. Esta evaluaci\u00f3n requiere disponer de modelos matem\u00e1ticos y num\u00e9ricos que representen los procesos t\u00e9rmicos (t), hidrodin\u00e1micos (h), mec\u00e1nicos (m) y geoqu\u00edmicos (g) que tendr\u00e1n lugar en el entorno del almacenamiento. las contribuciones principales de esta tesis incluyen: la actualizaci\u00f3n de los modelos thg previos para los ensayos de laboratorio (ct-23 y celda de permeabilidad) y a gran escala (maqueta e in situ) del proyecto febex (full-scale engineered barrier experiment), el desarrollo de una serie de modelos thmg para los ensayos del proyecto febex, el desarrollo y mejora de c\u00f3digos thmg como fades-core2d e inverse-fades-core a partir de c\u00f3digos ya existentes para aplicar en los ensayos del proyecto febex, el desarrollo de un c\u00f3digo num\u00e9rico dcm-fades-core de doble permeabilidad para flujo multif\u00e1sico no isotermo y transporte reactivo y la aplicaci\u00f3n de dicho c\u00f3digo para un ensayo de permeabilidad de larga duraci\u00f3n. fades-core2d es una versi\u00f3n actualizada de fades-core-le que incluye muchas actualizaciones y mejores como la implementaci\u00f3n de subrutinas para el c\u00e1lculo del balance de masa y de carga el\u00e9ctrica, la consideraci\u00f3n de la cin\u00e9tica en la precipitaci\u00f3n\/disoluci\u00f3n de minerales, la incorporaci\u00f3n de una ley constitutiva de permeabilidad que depende de la fuerza i\u00f3nica del agua intersticial, la implementaci\u00f3n de la ecuaci\u00f3n de pitzer para calcular los coeficientes de actividad para valores grandes de la fuerza i\u00f3nica, la consideraci\u00f3n de la difusi\u00f3n cruzada y la inclusi\u00f3n de los procesos acoplados de \u00f3smosis qu\u00edmica y t\u00e9rmica.
