En este sentido, \u00abla caracterizaci\u00f3n de personajes en el cine de horror cl\u00e1sico\u00bb analiza el cambio y evoluci\u00f3n de los personajes que han protagonizado este g\u00e9nero a lo largo de tres d\u00e9cadas (tiempo durante el que se gest\u00f3 y desarroll\u00f3 en hollywood). Siempre se ha hablado de la iluminaci\u00f3n, la direcci\u00f3n art\u00edstica y la banda sonora como elementos que han codificado el terror y el horror, sin embargo, nunca se ha analizado en profundidad la caracterizaci\u00f3n f\u00edsica de los personajes como recurso imprescindible para que el horror exista como tal.     se trata, por tanto, de una tesis centrada en el maquillaje y la caracterizaci\u00f3n, en la que se analiza la evoluci\u00f3n est\u00e9tica de los personajes que pueblan esta cinematograf\u00eda (dr\u00e1cula, frankesnstein, la momia, el hombre labor, dr. Jekyll y mr. Hyde), para demostrar que sin caracterizaci\u00f3n no existe horror, apostando as\u00ed por enmarcar a las pel\u00edculas realizadas en hollywood hasta los a\u00f1os cincuenta, en el g\u00e9nero de
