El estudio de su desarrollo normal y, en concreto, de los cambios durante el desarrollo en la expresi\u00f3n de marcadores de sistemas de neurotransmisi\u00f3n, permite sentar las bases para su posterior comparaci\u00f3n con determinadas alteraciones patol\u00f3gicas vinculadas al desarrollo, como son la esquizofrenia y algunas formas de epilepsia. Aplicando t\u00e9cnicas inmunohistoqu\u00edmicas para microscop\u00eda \u00f3ptica y electr\u00f3nica ay t\u00e9cnicas de inmunotransferencia, hemos estudiado la maduraci\u00f3n postnatal de tres sistemas de neurotransmisi\u00f3n de gran importancia para la funci\u00f3n hipocampal, como son el gaba\u00e9rgico, el glutamat\u00e9rgico y el dopamin\u00e9rigco. Los marcadores pre- y postsin\u00e1pticos analizados han sido: para la neurotransmisi\u00f3n gaba\u00e9rgica, las subunidades alfa1 y alfa5 del receptor gaba a junto con las prote\u00ednas ligadoras de calcio claretinina y parvalb\u00famina: para la neurotransmisi\u00f3n glutamat\u00e9rgica, la enzima glutaminasas tipo ri\u00f1\u00f3n kga, los transportadores vesiculares de glutamato (vglu t1-3) y los receptores nmdar1 y mglur5; en el caso de la neurotransmisi\u00f3n dopamin\u00e9rgica analizamos el subtipo de receptor d4, junto con la enzima tirosina hidroxilasa th y el transportador de membrana de dopamina dat. Los principales resultados y conclusiones son:     1,- la subunidad alfa1 del receptor gaba a se expresa tanto en c\u00e9lulas principales de naturaleza glutamat\u00e9rgica como en interneuronas gab\u00e9rgicas de inhibici\u00f3n perisom\u00e1tica que expresan la prote\u00edna ligadora de calcio parvalb\u00famina, con un patr\u00f3n distinto al de otras subunidades tipo alfa sugiriendo la existencia de mecanismos espec\u00edficos de control de la expresi\u00f3n temporal de las subunidades del receptor gaba a.
