Estos compuestos se encuentran en efluentes gaseosos de industrias de la madera y de producci\u00f3n de pasta y papel. la viabilidad de emplear microorganismos aut\u00f3trofos en vez de heter\u00f3tropos para tratar aire contaminado con h2s fue evaluada. La elevada eliminaci\u00f3n del h2s se mantuvo a ph bajo. Tales biofiltros percoladores aut\u00f3trofos pueden presentar otras ventajas, incluyendo el hecho de que no emiten co2 a la atm\u00f3sfera. Adem\u00e1s, el  crecimiento limitado de microorganismos aut\u00f3trofos evita problemas relacionados con la ca\u00edda de presi\u00f3n. Se comprob\u00f3 el buen ajuste entre los datos experimentales y un modelo matem\u00e1tico par predecir el funcionamiento del biofiltro percolador. se comprob\u00f3 que el co-tratamiento del h2s y algunos covs en un biorreactor operado a bajo ph es factible. Este dise\u00f1o ser\u00eda muy econ\u00f3mico para el co-tratamiento en una sola etapa de olores y sustancias org\u00e1nicas t\u00f3xicas emitidas en plantas de tratamiento de aguas residuales, industrias de pulpa y papel, etc. un hongo de la especie ophiostoma que emplea alfa-pineno como fuente \u00fanica de carbono y de energ\u00eda lo convirti\u00f3 en biomasa, di\u00f3xido de carbono y agua. La cepa fue inoculada en un biorreactor alimentado con aire contaminado con alfa-pineno, y sigui\u00f3 siendo la cepa dominante a lo largo del estudio. La capacidad m\u00e1xima de eliminaci\u00f3n obtenida con esta especie de ophiostoma fue entre 3 y 50 veces m\u00e1s alta que los valores obtenidos usando sistemas bact<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
