Con ella se pretende estudiar el comportamiento de determinados tipos de mol\u00e9culas org\u00e1nicas como hilos moleculares, es decir, como sistemas unimoleculares capaces de transmitir una se\u00f1al entre sus dos extremos, generalmente carga el\u00e9ctrica. la tesis consta de dos cap\u00edtulos en los que se estudia la idoneidad de dos tipos de mol\u00e9culas, el tetratiafulvaleno (ttf) y los oligo fenilenvinilenos como hilos moleculares as\u00ed como un tercer cap\u00edtulo en el que se estudian diversos sistemas aza-derivados como hilos moleculares y tambi\u00e9n en su capacidad de reconocimiento selectivo de cationes met\u00e1licos. Adem\u00e1s, se aprovecha las propiedades redox de alguno de estos azo-derivados para dise\u00f1ar un m\u00e9todo de transporte o extracci\u00f3n selectivo de cationes
