Victoria <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>En el presente trabajo de investigaci\u00f3n se ha estudiado la actividad antiestr\u00e9s de un extracto caracterizado de ra\u00edz de panax ginseng eg relacion\u00e1ndola con su capacidad antioxidante tanto in vivo como in vitro y con sus efecto sobre la secreci\u00f3n de neurotransmisores excitatorios e inhibitorios.     para ello, se ha dise\u00f1ado un protocolo que reproduce un modelo de estr\u00e9s f\u00edsico y psicol\u00f3gico en el que se ha relacionado la adaptaci\u00f3n al estr\u00e9s con mecanismo bioqu\u00edmicos de defensa antioxidante end\u00f3gena. En los ensayos in vivo y en tejido cerebral, el tratamiento subcr\u00f3nico con la dosis m\u00e1s elevada del eg mostr\u00f3 un aumento en la resistencia frente al estr\u00e9s de los animales de experimentaci\u00f3n respecto al control.     por otro lado, se ha establecido un m\u00e9todo de ensayo en cultivos celulares de astrocitos para el estudio de la acci\u00f3n del eg y sus compuestos m\u00e1s relevantes, los ginsen\u00f3sidos, sobre los mecanismos de defensa frente al estr\u00e9s oxidativo. Se han puesto a punto diversos protocolos con t\u00f3xicos que representan las diferentes v\u00edas por las que se generan radicales libres. El eg y algunos ginsen\u00f3sidos aislados han mostrado ser eficaces frente a la toxicidad inducida, aunque este efecto es m\u00e1s marcado para el eg.     para comprobar el efecto del eg sobre la secreci\u00f3n de diversos neurotransmisores, se utilizaron cultivos celulares neuronales.
