Aunque la desregulaci\u00f3n del ciclo celular es un evento fundamental en el desarrollo y la progresi\u00f3n de los linfomas, las alteraciones que afectan a las v\u00edas reguladoras del ciclo celular no se han caracterizado completamente. Con el prop\u00f3sito de comprender m\u00e1s en detalle la contribuci\u00f3n de dichas alteraciones a la linfomag\u00e9nesis, hemos utilizado t\u00e9cnicas de biolog\u00eda celular, an\u00e1lisis de expresi\u00f3n (matrices cdna, pcr en tiempo real, inmunohistoqu\u00edmica), an\u00e1lisis de mutaciones y metilaci\u00f3n del dna, y t\u00e9cnicas bioinform\u00e1ticas.     la inactivaci\u00f3n de la v\u00eda de p14arf -mdm2-p53 es poco frecuente en linfomas no hodgkin: sin embargo, la sobreexpresi\u00f3n an\u00f3mala de p14 arf est\u00e1 relacionada con una alta agresividad tumoral y la inactivaci\u00f3n de rb y\/o p53. hemos caracterizado el patr\u00f3n de expresi\u00f3n y las funciones de varias transcritos alternativos de mdm2. Los transcritos que codifican el extremo n-terminal de la prote\u00edna pueden inhibir la activaci\u00f3n de p53, mientras que los que codifican el extremo c-terminal inducen la expresi\u00f3n de las ciclinas d1 y e y se expresan selectivamente en c\u00e9lulas y tejidos tumorales. La expresi\u00f3n  del inhibidor de quinasas dependientes de ciclinas p18ink4c se encuentra p\u00e9rdida en la mitad de los casos de linfoma de hodgkin como consecuencia de la hipermetilaci\u00f3n del promotor de este gen.     el an\u00e1lisis de perfiles de expresi\u00f3n g\u00e9nica de linfomas de hodgkin ha permitido identificar \u00abfirmas moleculares\u00bb asociadas con respuesta al tratamiento favorable o desfavorable.
