La regi\u00f3n mhc que se encuentra en el cromosoma 6 ha sido demostrada como especialmente importante en los estudios de asociaci\u00f3n a susceptibilidad de desarrollo de la enfermedad. en esta tesis doctoral inicialmente se estudian diferentes genes del mhc como posibles marcadores de susceptibilidad para el desarrollo de em, encontr\u00e1ndose una asociaci\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica al desarrollo de esta enfermedad a determinados alelos de genes que codifican dos mol\u00e9culas no cl\u00e1sicas de hla de clase i llamadas mica y micb.     estas mol\u00e9culas han sido relacionadas con la fisiopatolog\u00eda de otras enfermedades autoinmunes como la enfermedad celiaca, artritis reumatoide o la diabetes melitus, por lo que se busco demostrar la participaci\u00f3n de estas mol\u00e9culas as\u00ed como nkg2d, que es el receptor que las reconoce, en lesiones desmielinizantes de em. fue demostrada mediante t\u00e9cnicas de inmunohistoqu\u00edmica e hibridaci\u00f3n in situ la expresi\u00f3n de estas mol\u00e9culas (mica, micb y nkg2d) en las lesiones desmielizantes de em por parte de diferentes tipos celulares. Tambi\u00e9n fue demostrada la presencia de niveles elevados la interleuquina 15 (il-15) en sueros durante fases de brote de la enfermedad as\u00ed como de su de participaci\u00f3n como posible causante de la expresi\u00f3n an\u00f3mala estas mol\u00e9culas en la placa de em. adem\u00e1s se confirm\u00f3 la presencia de mol\u00e9culas de micb en forma soluble, en sueros de pacientes diagn\u00f3sticados de me, confirm\u00e1ndose \u00e9sta como posible marcador de actividad inflamatoria de la enfermedad pues los niveles m\u00e1s elevados se encontraron en pacientes de em durante
