En este estudio analizamos la respuesta de estos sistemas a la reducci\u00f3n de estimulaci\u00f3n aferente mediante el proceso de deprivaci\u00f3n olfatoria. Para ello, llevamos a cabo la oclusi\u00f3n nasal unilateral de animales reci\u00e9n nacidos, que fueron mantenidos en esta condici\u00f3n hasta los 60 d\u00edas de edad, momento en el que se sacrificaron y se llevaron a cabo los estudios bioqu\u00edmicos, autoradiogr\u00e1ficos, histoqu\u00edmicos e inmunohistoqu\u00edmicos. nuestros principales resultados son la descripci\u00f3n de una amplia serie de cambios pl\u00e1sticos en los sistemas modulatorios centr\u00edfugos (seroton\u00e9rgico, colin\u00e9rgico y noradren\u00e9rgico) y del sistema intr\u00ednseco dopamin\u00e9rgico en el bulbo olfatorio principal tras deprivaci\u00f3n olfatoria unilateral. Los tres sistemas amin\u00e9rgicos (los centr\u00edfugos, noradren\u00e9rgico y seroton\u00e9rgico, as\u00ed como el local, dopamin\u00e9rgico) dependen de la estimulaci\u00f3n olfatoria aferente y reaccionan a la deprivaci\u00f3n sensorial olfatoria. Por el contrario, el sistema colin\u00e9rgico es morfol\u00f3gicamente estable y no exhibe cambios claros ante la p\u00e9rdida de estimulaci\u00f3n olfatoria aferente. Adem\u00e1s, a pesar de que diversos estudios han demostrado diferencias sexuales en estos sistemas en diferentes regiones encef\u00e1licas, los an\u00e1lisis realizados en la presente tesis s\u00f3lo detectan dimorfismos sexuales con respecto al sistema local dopamin\u00e9rgico mientras que los tres sistemas centr\u00edfugos estudiados no muestran diferencias. estos datos muestran que la modulaci\u00f3n dopamin\u00e9rgica de la transmisi\u00f3n olfatoria a nivel bulbar difiere en machos y hembras, lo que puede estar relacionado con las conocidas diferencias sexuales en cuanto a sensibilidad, discriminaci\u00f3n y memoria olfatoria. Adem\u00e1s, los sistemas modulatorios amin\u00e9rgicos son pl\u00e1sticos, sufriendo distintas respuestas adaptativas ante la reducci\u00f3n de la estimulaci\u00f3n sensorial olfatoria. Estos cambios son de distinta intensidad y sentido para cada uno de los sistemas estudiados, lo que demuestra una regulaci\u00f3n precisa de la transmisi\u00f3n olfatoria a nivel bulbar, en la que
