Una vez completada su maduraci\u00f3n en los \u00f3rganos linfoides primarios, cada linfocito expresa en su membrana un receptor de ant\u00edgeno de especificidad \u00fanica. La vigilancia eficaz del organismo requiere, por tanto, el movimiento permanente de los linfocitos a lo largo del mismo. Las c\u00e9lulas t y b circulantes en sangre migran a los distintos \u00f3rganos linfoides secundarios ils al posible encuentro con su ant\u00edgeno espec\u00edfico. Las c\u00e9lulas t y b se mueven continuamente en el interior de estos \u00f3rganos, rastreando la superficie de las c\u00e9lulas presentadoras de ant\u00edgeno cpa presentes de el tejido linfoide. Tras un periodo de residencia en los mismos de unas 12-24 horas, de no producirse el reconocimiento antig\u00e9nico, los linfocitos abandonan estos \u00f3rganos y son devueltos a sangre para reiniciar el referido proceso migratorio, lo que se conoce como \u00abrecirculaci\u00f3n linfocitaria\u00bb.     las quimioquinas son una familia de prote\u00ednas que juegan un papel fundamental en el tr\u00e1fico linfocitario. Por un lado, las quimioquinas expresadas en la pared vascular de los ols disparan la activaci\u00f3n de mol\u00e9culas de adhesi\u00f3n de la familia de las integrinas, cuya fijaci\u00f3n aligando promueve la adhesi\u00f3n fuerte del linfocito al endotelio, un paso previo a la extravasaci\u00f3n de los linfocitos al tejido linfoide. As\u00ed mismo, las quimioquinas inducen la migraci\u00f3n dirigida de las c\u00e9lulas del sistema inmunitario, contribuyendo a la entrada y posicionamiento de las c\u00e9lulas t y b en microambientes espec\u00edficos del tejido linfoide. Las se\u00f1ales que promueven la salida del os linfocitos de los ols est\u00e1n mediadas por el l\u00edpido esfingosina-1-fosfato (s1p). tanto las quimioquinas como la s1p se unen a receptores
