Tras una breve introducci\u00f3n, la primera parte de la tesis, \u00abjulio solino y su obra: una puesta a punto del estado de la cuesti\u00f3n\u00bb (1-101) est\u00e1 dedicada a la exposici\u00f3n del status quaestionis, con atenci\u00f3n especial a el autor (identidad y origen), la obra (t\u00edtulo, destinatario, cronolog\u00eda, transmisi\u00f3n manuscrita, cuesti\u00f3n de la doble redacci\u00f3n), fuentes y pervivencia. La segunda parte de la tesis (103-640) contiene el an\u00e1lisis filol\u00f3gico de todos los pasajes de autores tardantiguos en los que se ha apuntado posibles relaciones de dependencia con respecto a la obra soliniana; en primer lugar se someten a consideraci\u00f3n cr\u00edtica los autores de obras de orientaci\u00f3n pagana: amiano marcelino (107-249), los scholia uergiliana: servio y servio danielino (251-278), los scholia in iuuenalem uetustiora (279- 292), los commenta bernensia de lucano (293-303), marciano capela (305-431), polemio silvio (433-442), prisciano (443-529), jordanes (531-544); y luego los autores y obras de orientaci\u00f3n o ideolog\u00eda cristiana: jer\u00f3nimo de estrid\u00f3n (547-557), agust\u00edn de hipona (559-600), el liber genealogus (601-609),  el carmen de sodoma (611-620), verecundo de junca (621-639).
