Las aplicaciones de dichos materiales pueden ser varias como se demuestra en la tesis, as\u00ed mientras que los porosos pueden servir como aislantes ac\u00fasticos pues poseen una elevada absorci\u00f3n ac\u00fastica en un amplio intervalo de frecuencias ya dem\u00e1s son de car\u00e1cter resonante, por otro lado los densos pueden ser utilizados para la obtenci\u00f3n de fibras de vidrio de oxicarburo de boro-silicio, fibras utilizables en el refuerzo de resinas de alto valor a\u00f1adido o bien refuerzo de metales, vidrios o cer\u00e1micas dado la elevada resistencia t\u00e9rmica que poseen los materiales de oxicarburo de silicio. en la tesis se utilizan una serie de t\u00e9cnicas experimentales (rmn, raman, ft-ir, fem, etc) que ha permitido ampliar los conocimientos sobre los materiales de oxicarburo de silico obtenidos a partir de materiales h\u00edbridos. Las investigaciones realizadas en esta tesis son de gran inter\u00e9s para el campo dela ciencia de los materiales y sobre todo en el de los nanocompuestos o nanocomposites, puesto que partiendo de reactivos qu\u00edmicos org\u00e1nicos (metal-org\u00e1nicos), se llega a obtener materiales inorg\u00e1nicos nanoestructurados y con porosidades controlables y dise\u00f1adas previamente seg\u00fan
