As\u00ed, los an\u00e1lisis del agua aprueban su calidad y previenen epidemias por contaminaci\u00f3n de microorganismos. A pesar de los diversos procesos de desinfecci\u00f3n del agua, es necesario garantizar la eliminaci\u00f3n de los microorganismos m\u00e1s resistentes. Particularmente, los par\u00e1metros microbiol\u00f3gicos que se incluyen en la normativa a nivel mundial pueden no resolver satisfactoriamente la calidad de las aguas tratadas.     este trabajo pretende hacer una propuesta de nuevos indicadores biol\u00f3gicos bacterianos que deban incluirse en la normativa de aguas residuales tratadas. Los muestreos se llevaron a cabo en la comunidad de Madrid (espa\u00f1a) y en el estado de hidalgo (m\u00e9xico) en dos r\u00edos, dos embalses, agua del grifo y dos depuradoras. Los an\u00e1lisis incluyeron conteo de bacterias mes\u00f3filas aerobias, coliformres totales, escherichia coli, enterococcus faecalis, clostridium perfringens y pseudomonas aeruginosa mediante la t\u00e9cnica de filtraci\u00f3n en membrana. Posteriormente, se aplicaron pruebas bioqu\u00edmicas confirmativas y la comprobaci\u00f3n con cepas certificadas.     para garantizar que la calidad del agua sea apta para los diferentes usos, los resultados de la presente investigaci\u00f3n muestran que es indispensable contemplar en la normativa espa\u00f1ola las siguientes especies como indicadoras para evaluar la calidad de aguas de embalses, r\u00edos, efluentes y afluentes: e.Faecalis, c.Perifringens y p.Aeruigonsa, mientras que para la normativa mexicana, conviene emplear las cuatro especies se\u00f1aladas en las diferentes
