Estos autores representaban una nueva v\u00eda en el desarrollo de la m\u00fasica espa\u00f1ola del siglo xx. Hasta esta fecha, la historia de la m\u00fasica espa\u00f1ola parece representarse por el nombre de grandes figuras, aisladas de su entorno, tales como alb\u00e9niz, granados o manuel de falla. Gran parte de los estudios musicol\u00f3gicos se basan todav\u00eda en ese enfoque biogr\u00e1fico centrado en grandes nombres pr\u00e1cticamente ajenos a su contexto. La novedad que representa que un grupo de compositores decidieran unirse bajo un credo com\u00fan, al margen de la veracidad o no de ese credo, supone un cambio real en la recepci\u00f3n y concepci\u00f3n del mundo musical, y la necesidad de un estudio distinto.     la presente tesis doctoral se ha dividido en seis grandes apartados que analizan el contexto, las instituciones, la ideolog\u00eda, los referentes musicales, y la propia creaci\u00f3n musical. En el primero de los apartados simplemente se muestra un panorama general de la vida cultural y pol\u00edtica europea, y espa\u00f1ola, en los a\u00f1os 20. En \u00e9l se analizan cu\u00e1les son los referentes culturales de los que parte este estudio, la naturaleza del r\u00e9gimen dictatorial, y el contexto de la europa de estos a\u00f1os. Los cuatro siguientes apartados constituyen el grueso del presente trabajo, y tratan, respectivamente:     1,- instituciones.     2,- la est\u00e9tica musical.     3,- los referentes musicales.
