Aplicada a aldeh\u00eddos proparg\u00edlicos el m\u00e9todo conduce a beta-hidroxi\u00e9steres met\u00edlicos proparg\u00edlicos con excesos enantiom\u00e9ricos muy elevados. tambi\u00e9n se han preparado diversas cloro- y bromo-cetonas quirales de nuevo dise\u00f1o y se ha establecido que su aplicaci\u00f3n a la reacci\u00f3n de arzens asim\u00e9trica conduce a los correspondientes esteres glic\u00edcidos con elevada estereoselectividad. se ha desarrollado un nuevo procedimiento para la reacci\u00f3n de mannich asim\u00e9trica que se basa en el empleo del enolato l\u00edtico de una alfa-oxicetona quiral derivada del alcanfor y de alfa-amidosulfonas como precursoras de n-acil iminas. La escisi\u00f3n oxidativa del cetol conduce a beta-amino\u00e1cidos esencialmente enatiopuros. Se ha demostrado que dicha metodolog\u00eda integrada en un acoplamiento amino-\u00e1cido carbox\u00edlico, abre una v\u00eda de acceso a beta-p\u00e9ptidos y a p\u00e9ptidos h\u00edbridoso alfa y
